Regine Ramseier, a German artist, had the great idea to created a ‘Dandelion Ceiling.’ 2000 dandelion flowers were treated and sprayed with a gentle adhesive to fix them. The dandelions were then transported by car to a little white room where they were hung.

I tried painting using only one layer for the first time and I was so scared but it ended up being way more fun and not nearly as dificult as I’d thought. Sometimes you just gotta take the plunge and try something new.

It is normal to perceive our home as a safe haven, the sanctuary we run to when the dark things of the outside world nip at our heels and whisper black nothings into our ears. But a home can be many things. It’s walls are witness to our most personal moments. They watch you grow, see you change, and soak in everything you cast off. They take in your blue misery, your gray loneliness and your pitch black hate. It is within those walls that the most intimate kind of evil lives. This evil brings the dark things in— shadows and boogeymen of your own creation. Many horrors are perpetrated within the walls of a home, which serve as little protection then. They only watch, as they always have. A home can not protect you from something already inside.

The most important thing about AAC isn’t that we can use it to prove people don’t have intellectual disabilities. That’s not the point. Communication gets people’s needs met.
Everyone deserves to communicate.
#the implication when people do this seems to be that if the person had ID#then it would be ok not to give them AAC!#that the harm done to someone without access to communication isn’t that they lack that access#it’s that someone might think they’re YOU KNOW when they’re not (via littlemissmutant)
THESE ARE THE WORDS, thank you.
